Area Description
Nea Filothei is a district of Athens located on the southeastern side of the Tourkovounion hill, starting above the Panormou metro station (Trifylias street) and reaching Attiko Alsos and Paleo Psychiko (with which it borders on Mouson street at the height of Katehaki). It also borders the districts of Polygono, Girokomeio (with a boundary of Nik. Florou, Trifylias streets) and Ampelokipi. Its name comes from Agia Filothei who lived in the area.

Nea Filothei in its northern part is one of the quietest areas of the Municipality of Athens, since it is built almost entirely with family semi-detached houses with gardens and lots of greenery, thus quite reminiscent of neighboring Psychiko.
