Wittgendorf is a small beautiful rural hamlet near the Zittauer mountains in south east Saxony
that was first mentioned in the 13th Century. The surrounding countryside is idyllic

The Zittauer mountains are a holiday area with a range of Ski and winter sport facilities as well as wonderful nature parks.
Wittgendorf is approximately 2 miles from the Polish border and 6 miles from the
Czech border. It is just 4 miles to the town centre of Zittau which has a population of
25,000 and modern conveniences. The medieval towns of Gorlitz and Bautzen are 16
and 24 miles respectively. The baroque cities of Dresden and Prague are 45 and 63
miles respectively.
