Around 10 people live in the village. The driving distance to Cullar and Baza is approximately 20 minutes.
Baza is a big bustling town situated in a valley of the Sierra Nevada mountain range with a population of approximately 21,000 inhabitants and a market every Wednesday. It has over 10 parks, a bull-ring, cinema, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sports centre, hospital and history dating back to 400BC (the famous "Lady of Baza"). It is famous for its fiesta "Cascamorras" - a very fun, busy and colourful fiesta.
Cullar with all amenities and a market every Monday. There is also a large public pool complex with two huge circular pools, one for toddlers, a play park and picnic area as well as a bar/restaurant. Life guards are in attendance whenever the pool is open. Throughout the summer there are shows, dances and other events provided by the local council outside the bar for everyone to enjoy.
Cullar is well known for the fabulous Moors & Christians fiesta the last weekend of April every year with parades, funfairs, outdoor bars, dancing and bands for four days with groups travelling from all over Spain to participate.
